Going Nowhere Fast

Today we live in the moment, barely looking past today or the next media announcement to put in a two cent opinion, bias statement or knee jerk reaction without all the information to make a good one. And it now begins at the early age in childhood gaming where the attention span and ability think independently is disintegrating.

When I recall the founding fathers of this country, many had their faults and way of life we would now consider questionable and even completely wrong.  I also recall there was a drive that became a mission to create our land into a place for all who work, participate, and lead by example can live a full live.

History and the present day have collided and we are in an era that I believe will define future generations to come.  And, we are creating a society that is unable to believe, let alone understand how to do the common and respectful things that were taught to us by our parents. Actually listening has become for many of us, including me at times, difficult, without completing the statement or question either out loud or in our mind.  This will impact the response or condition of the conversation from the onset.  Usually leading to discomfort which is non-conducive to productive conversation.

It starts with a confidence man (or woman).  They are supported by deep pockets that provide a payoff for their financial needs/wants.  Surely it starts out as a way for the individual with information that is of value (economist, financial analyst or scientist) to gain income to support their family and recognition for their hard work. As either from their independent intelligence, study or research where findings are of value to someone else.

Today the con-man doesn’t even know they are one most of the time.  They are one because they just want to be heard, and to be believed.  I believe they just want to have a discussion and be listened to, but most of all they need followers, likes and retweets.

So what’s what?

Here’s my take (listen or hear me, no matter to me), but my children matter to me.

So pay attention at least!  its really this simple

GMO – Organic:  Food grown with different methods of science involved

Science – Common sense:  One supports the other when the other isn’t understood

Sustainable – Unsustainable:  Either it can last or it can’t

Young = Old:  Separated by time and experience (variable)

Right – Wrong:  One you should do – one you shouldn’t

Hazard = Risk:  Blind drivers – asking for a ride from one

I would like you to please remember just a few things.

  1. The way we used to do things weren’t all wrong
  2. The way we do things now aren’t all right
  3. Ask questions
  4. Don’t argue to argue
  5. Look for solutions, but know the problem
  6. Don’t dwell on what you can’t do or what doesn’t work

Author:

Raised on a 20 acre farm with all the animals in rural Indiana. I picked up rocks out of farm field before planting season, cooked in a pancake house for a couple years, worked in a factory, joined the Navy, back to the factory then College. I took for granted the simple natural (and unnatural) foods we grew that we raised, and the snacks and cereals we bought. I had a hard working mother I love, even now that she is gone, and a there but not there father. It went by so fast. I sincerely believe we can reintroduce the local farms that sustain and bring together communities. I am looking for sincere individuals to assist me with pursuing my passion to bring a business model to community, prove concept and make it work. Then reeducate the generations.
